Name: Hinata Hyuuga

Appearance:
Hinata is short and slender with quite a large chest, although you’d never tell as she hides behind her baggy clothes. She is usually to be found wearing purple, blue or cream - cool colours that don't clash or distinguish her from a crowd. Her usual complexion is bright pink, but what she manages to keep from being embarrassed she’s quite pale. In fact, most things about her are pale, including her white eyes, with the exception of her hair which is long and dark purple

Personality:
Hinata is incredibly shy and introverted. She’s had low self esteem for as long as she can remember, leading to an inferiority complex that emerges every now and then. She is always working hard to overcome it using the overly confident and out-going Naruto as her role-model, although how much progress she is making is questionable. Hinata is a caring person, always trying to help out in any way she can. Despite her skill and role as a ninja Hinata is a non-confrontational person, preferring to solve issues by talking them over, a useful skill in a world of over enthusiastic hormonal teenage boys. This also gives her a hesitant manner, preferring to go with the group rather than forcing her opinions forward, but in an emergency she can be briefly assertive, pointing out dangers that her teammates may not have spotted in their haste to battle.

Strengths:
She has all the quickness and agility expected of a trained ninja, along with a good memory and keen attention to detail in the environment and in people. Hinata is good at motivating people, despite having difficulties motivating herself, and can dance surprisingly well should the need ever arise.

Weaknesses:
Hinata has been hampered by uncontrollable fainting spells, usually in the middle of a conversation with Naruto. She also lacks of confidence in pretty much everything she does, making her quite weak both physically and mentally. Hinata will also be restricted by her loss of the Byakugan, a bloodline limit that allowed her to see clearly up to a range of several miles, through objects and people, 360 degrees around her.

Background:
Hinata is the eldest daughter of the Hyuuga clan, which puts her under immense pressure to do well and succeed. She was put in Team 8 along with the loudmouthed Kiba and taciturn Shino, and with their help and Kurenai’s tutoring she has progressed greatly, both in skill and confidence.

During the first Chuunin exam, Hinata faced her cousin from the branch family, Neji, who resented her for being born into the main branch. Hinata ultimately failed to beat Neji, but with prompting from Naruto she tried her hardest to fight against the defeatism of her cousin, who was convinced people could not change. Hinata made the promise then that she would change and her fate would not be predetermined. Hinata passed the exam on her second try and is now a Chuunin.

Through out her ninja career Hinata has watched the antics of Naruto, who she has a crush on (whilst Naruto remains oblivious), and has used him as a role-model throughout her career for gaining confidence and sticking to her dreams, mimicking his phrase, “It’s my ninja way,” in times of crisis or great resolve.

Recently, her team merged with Team 7 to hunt down Uchiha Sasuke. In this mission, she displayed her new-found confidence and skill against the Akatsuki member 'Tobi', returning from the mission after the loss of Sasuke's trail to Konoha.
